The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) and the European Union started their study on “Promoting Urban Green Commuting” on March 7, 2013.
The key objectives of the report are to conduct a policy study and provide policy recommendations to the Government of China. To encourage green consumption in the urban transport sector is the essence of the PDSF II study. The study will run till the 3rd of November 2012.
Structured in four components, the study includes:
- Green Commuting Index
- Economic and Fiscal Instruments
- Regulatory and management
- Social Equity
The Deadline for the Project Report final and the “Policy Recommendations of Promoting Urban Green Commuting” is on December 15,2013.
The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) and the European Union working together within the EU-China Policy Dialogues Support Facility II. It is the second phase of this Chinese-European project, which mainly focuses on Sectoral Dialogues. The second phase started in March 2012 and runs for 4 years. Sectoral dialogues involve co-operation and coordination in many policy areas between the European Union and China.
